As described in a eralier blog, in SCCM 2012 you have the possibility to set different client settings for every collection (before it was a setting on the primary sites ). But how it works?
You can DEPLOY your own client settings to collections.
Right click on your client settings –> Deploy
BUT, have you tried to deploy the “default client settings”?
There is no way to deploy them! Why???
The “Default Client Settings” are deployed automatically to every SCCM Client.
Your own created policies overrides the settings defined in the “Default Client Settings” when they are assigned to a collection (only different settings has to be defined in your own policies).
The same topic you will find for the Antimalware policies (Endpoint Protection). The “Default Client Malware Policy” is automatically assigned to every Endpoint Protection client.
