SCCM 2012 SP1 Beta–Endpoint Protection (SCEP)

Cumulative Settings are now possible!

In the SCCM 2012 RTM Version it was possible to create different SCEP Policies (Antimalware Policies). Unfortunately, if a client receives more than one of this policies, only the one with the higher priority (1, 2, 3, …) is applied.

SCCM 2012 RC1–Basic Client Settings for Endpoint Protection

One of a new feature in SCCM 2012 is the possibility to configure different client settings for every collection (in 2007 per primary site). This will help us in configuring different endpoint protection settings for different type of clients / servers. System Center 2012 Endpoint Protection

Forefront Endpoint Protection 2012 (FEP) heisst neu “System Center Endpoint Protection”!

Endpoint Protection 2012 basiert vollständig auf SCCM 2012! Im RC1 benötigt es KEINE eigenständige Installation, es ist nur noch eine Rolle von SCCM und daher noch besser integriert als bisher!

Install System Center Endpoint Protection in SCCM 2012 RC1

To integrate Endpoint Protection in SCCM 2012 RC1, there is no need to install with a specific setup. You only need to activate the SCCM Site Role “Endpoint protection point”.
